Setting Goals, Being Productive, and Healing

The first few days off during my month break from the show have already been just what I needed. I’m still really struggling mentally/emotionally, but I’m on the path towards making some progress!! Like I said in my last blog post, I’ve been making goals to accomplish nearly every day. I’ve been doing this because of a few reasons. One, being productive makes me happy. Two, some of the goals always have to do with keeping the apartment clean, and that makes me happy, too. Three, it’s distracting (in a good way) to make myself busy and get things done that I want to get done.

Here are a few of the goals I had written down on the first day (And yes, I finished them all):

1. Dishes

2. 1 hour of laundry (clean, fold, AND PUT AWAY)

3. Work on fixing the next five chapters for my 2nd draft to book

4. Straighten up kitchen/living room

5. Exercise for 30 minutes

6. 15 minutes scripture study

It feels really good to have so much time to catch up on the things I need to. It has actually aided in keeping me sane!! Not only is it good to have goals, but it’s also good to put some “me time” in there for myself! You guys should do the same thing! What do you like to do in your spare time? And what are some goals you have for today? Here are my goals for today:

1. Exercise for 15 minutes

2. Finish fixing the next two chapters to my 2nd draft

3. Study scriptures for 15-30 minutes

4. Dishes

5. 30 minutes laundry

6. Straighten up kitchen/living room/bathroom

Well, time for me to get started! Thanks for reading!

P.S. I would also like to mention how WONDERFUL it has been to have so much quality time with my daughter. I’m cherishing it!!! She’s an angel to me and brings so much light into my life. ❤️❤️❤️
