Well, people, I have been lacking with writing new blog posts! I apologize. 😉 There has been SO much! Let’s begin:
First thing I want to say is that my beautiful daughter turns two next month. WHAT?! I can’t believe it… why does time go by so fast? I love every single stage Gwendolyn grows into, but sometimes I miss the tiny baby. Here are some throwback pictures to when she was just days old:
Secondly, I know many of you are aware that I have been struggling. Anxiety and depression is SO real for SO many people out there, and we shouldn’t downplay that fact. Emotions are real to the individual feeling them.
That being said, I’ve been working on many things to help me maintain my sanity during this difficult time. One, I’m still actively looking for opportunities to sing/dance/act. Right now, I’m just posting videos here and there on IG and will hopefully start recording music. Two, as you all have seen, I’ve been writing a TON— I’ve always enjoyed writing and finally am dedicating a lot of time to it. I’m a good ways into book three of The Tales and Princesses Series. I am also writing a few novellas for After the Tales and Princesses- A Set of Novellas. And three, I am currently representing a couple mini-brands as a freelance model. 😱 What? I know, not something I ever expected to do. As of the moment, it’s not earning me a ton of money, but it is building my following and helping me attain my goals and complete some of my projects.
What can you do to help? Buy/read my books and follow me on Instagram (@aleesehughes)!
Anyway, I am so grateful for all the love and support from everybody! Thanks for the prayers, and thanks for your kind words. As of now, talking to/being around people has been a bit hard, but know that I appreciate you guys anyway.
I have a long journey ahead of me. Maybe I’ll always have these struggles, but I’m working on learning to cope. 🙂 Here’s to the pursuit of happiness! Haha!
Anyway, keep your eye out for book three: Pumpkins and Princesses and a few novellas! They are all coming out soon!
